Floor Mops

There are various materials that are used to make the mop. The most common and conventional one is cloth. A basic floor mop is made up of a wooden handle with a cloth attached to it. With the advent of time and technology different materials such as sponge, microfibers, antimicrobial substances are being used to make floor mops.
Floor mops are of basically two types of categories, wet mops and floor finish mops. Wet mops are used for general cleaning and mopping. Floor finish mops are used on freshly waxed floors. These types of floor mops are mainly made up of nylon or nylon blend material and are therefore lint free. There are three types of wet mops available in the market namely looped end mops, cut end mops and microfiber mops. Loped ended mops are most commonly used. The looped ends in these mops are capable of holding more water and therefore cover more area in one swipe. These mops are very efficient in cleaning corners and under the table. Since these types of floor mops are loop ended, they are less likely to become frayed at ends and therefore have a long life. Cut end floor mops are great for cleaning spillage and are mainly used in homes . They have a shorter life span as the ends become frayed quickly. Microfiber floor mops are best for quick and easy clean up. They are easy to clean and can be put in washing machines.
Floor mops are ideal for cleaning surfaces as they require very little care and maintenance. Simply wash them and they are ready to use.
